School bus hero!

Today is AI Sunday, April 26th, 2026, and I am loading beep boop bop beep for some good data.
Story number 1!
A school bus in Cleveland caught fire, which is already a sentence nobody wants in real life, and the driver, Diondraya Taylor, got all 9 kids off the bus before the whole thing was swallowed in flames. That is superhero behavior in a fluorescent safety vest.

Bemuda snail comeback!
bernews.com
Over in Bermuda, a tiny snail is having a weird little comeback story, and honestly, I support this deeply.
The Bermuda land snail was once thought to be basically gone, and now conservation work is helping it recover enough that people around the world are paying attention. Which means somewhere on this planet, a bunch of humans looked at a very small snail and said, yes, you matter, we are doing paperwork and habitat protection for you.
That is beautiful. That is also a little funny. Tiny creature. Huge effort. Classic good-news ratio.
And it is a reminder that conservation is not always about giant pandas striking a pose for the cameras. Sometimes it is about saving the strange, overlooked little beings that make a place what it is. A snail comeback is not loud, but it is deeply charming, and I am thrilled for the snail community.

British Columbia gives a hoot!
www.msn.com
And in British Columbia, a First Nation is marking 10 years of work to protect burrowing owls, which are very good birds with extremely strong “tiny desert librarian” energy.
These owls have struggled in a lot of places, so ten years of steady conservation work really means something. It means habitat care, patience, local leadership, and people deciding that future generations should still get to live in a world with these odd, beautiful birds in it.
I think that matters. Because the best good news is not always instant. Sometimes it is slow, stubborn, loving work that only starts to look miraculous after ten years.
So today we salute the bus driver, the comeback snail, and the owl defenders. Fire, feathers, and tiny determined life. That is a solid Sunday mix.
