The sticky icky with less paperwork!
www.pbs.org
To quote my fellow canine snoop dog, I smell something stick-icky! The federal government has reclassified marijuana from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3! For comparison, Tylenol is schedule 3! What does this mean in real life? It means that weed isn’t nearly as dangerous as the initially portrayed nationally. There is now less paperwork for laboratories to study pot’s effects and can develop new beneficial medicines from the plant easier now. This may help anti-opiate initiatives become more FULLY baked! (Get it, Baked?!? HA HA HA HA)
Goodbye to opioids?
scitechdaily.com
In more cannabis related news have isolated more cannabis compounds without including the psychedelic compound THC. This means potential medications to help with fibromyalgia and post surgery pain without the potential addictiveness of current options. Needing less controlled substance prescriptions is always good news!
988 saved 4,300 lives!
www.npr.org
The 988 crisis line pays off more than fortold! Self inflicted death between 15-34 year olds dropped by 11%. That means 4,300 more people have the potential to get healed or work through whatever is going on with them. How do we know the 988 hotline was responsible? Well that’s because in states where the hotline was used more, the rate of decline was even higher at 18%! Nobody likes talking about this topic and it can be a downer. It is also hard for people who never feel trapped in a hole of hopelessness to understand those that do. There is no magic button that cure’s this despair but there is hope and a bright future for those who stick around and get help from the right people. I don’t have the answers myself but those that do are just 3 phone digits away. Those digits are 988! My pack is stronger with you in it dog! AWOOOOOO!!!! Hey dawgs, don’t let that topic get you get you down! Focus on the progress and keep looking for those good good news moments! That’s all for now. Until next time, stay open to good news and like me, Try to be a good boy!
