We don't often talk about the stuff we dislike here but one exception to that rule are those creepy, near invincible creepy crawly ticks! YUCK!!! That's why it's good news that a vaccine for Lyme disease is around the corner! Maria Gomes-Solecki from the University of Tennessee has even better news! That vaccine won't go in you! scitechdaily.com
Let's bone up osteoporosis! GET IT!? NO? Osteoporosis essentially is when your bones get less dense and weaken. The good people of Germany have just identified a receptor (GPR133) and a stimulator (AP503) that triggers bones to grow stronger. In simplest terms it seems this receptor get's old and stops working so well. This treatment might not be too far off and grandma and grandpa might be able to get back into competitive weight lifting soon! Also as a dog I appreciate a good set of bones so this is especially good news!

Boring news makes you a better person!
www.npr.org
We are firm believers in that boring news makes you a better person and theirs some proof to back that up. While opinions differ on NPR we feel that there should be some straightforward not for profit news sources. That's why it's good news that NPR will be around for a while longer as they receive an $80 million donation from Connie Balmer (wife of ex Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer). The only thing better than straightforward news is bright news! There's been no word on if Mrs. Balmer will be donating to the Bright Ones network as of yet! Avoid hateful news
